Cacao Chia Bliss Balls | Ayurveda Mandala

Ingredients for 20 balls:

½ cup roasted almonds

½ cup roasted cashews

½ cup dessicated coconut

½ cup dates or prunes

2 tbsp raw cacao

2 tbsp coconut oil

2 tbsp chia gel

Pinch salt

1 tsp cinnamon

Method:

Process the nuts in food processor till fine crumbly, add dessicated coconut, process further. Add cacao, salt, cinnamon and pulse to mix.  Add cut pieces of dates, process till they are broken and combined, Add chia gel and coconut oil. Process until all is well combined. Keep in fridge for 15 min, now make balls, roll in cacao and/or dessicated coconut. Serve chilled. You can double the recipe and freeze half the dough or half the balls for later.

Ayurvedic Perspective:

This is a nourishing food for Vata (Air and Ether) and Pitta (Fire and Water) Constitution. It is a bit rich for Kapha Constitution so best to eat minimally.
