Description

Atomised Organic Red Maca by Seleno Health is quite a unique and powerful superfood. That is sustainably grown and processed in traditional ways on their farm 3800m above sea level in the mountainous Junin region of Peru. Resulting in a high-quality supplement with medicinal properties and low environmental impact as it is directly imported to New Zealand.

This superfood has been used for over 2000 years in the Incan culture. And is traditionally used to elevate vitality, treat anxiety, stress and hormonal imbalances, i.e. menopause, PMS, fatigue, libido, fertility, sexual dysfunction, as well as for pain relief and is even used to help treat cancer.

Hence Maca plays an important part culturally and spiritually in the Peruvian culture, for its nutritional and medicinal properties.

 

The Maca plant is grown for 12 month and after harvesting the Maca root is naturally dried under the sky for another three month which already starts the activation process of forming macamides. Then the roots are pressure heated* (gelatinising**) to remove bacteria, mould and starch. And in that process the macamides in Maca are fully activated and is made into a powder ready to eat.

Taken daily the atomised red Maca is specifically formulated to treat:
