Ingredients:
Makes 2 cups
1 cup almond milk and 11/2 cup water
2 tbsp coconut cream
2 tsp Organic Redbush Tea
4 cardamom pods
2 cloves
2 tsp fennel
1 star anise
1 inch grated fresh turmeric root or 1/2 tsp dry turmeric
a little nutmeg powder
a little honey to taste
Method:
Crush all the dry spices in a mortal pestle or in an electric coffee grinder. In a saucepan, add water, spices, cover and bring to boil, simmer on low heat for 5 minutes. Add the almond milk and simmer for 2 more minutes. You can let it sit for some time to absorb all flavours or it can be served immediately. Pour it in two cups through a sieve. Add a little honey to taste. Enjoy warm.
